i have a 1978 250 belarus i put 2 new batteries in it and a rebuild starter and change all batteries cables but it still starts hard
i pull the decompressor and let it crank for about 1 min and when i push in the decompressor it stop cranking to get this tractor to start it might take 5 or 6 times of doing this even on a hot day i have to do this i know these tractor start better than that is there any other thing i can try any help will be appreciate

Are those new batteries and cables big enough?
Do you have good grounds?
Does the starter spin the engine fast enough?
Are your injectors and pump in good shape?
Is the timing on the spot?
Do you have adequate compression?

the 2 batteries are 900 cold cranking amp's and all the cables are from a big truck (18 wheeler ) i dont think it is cranking over fast enough with a new starter and new batteries and good cables i just dont know what els it could be

Check the connection of your ground switch to the dash.250's are known for a bad connection(corrosion) there.
