talked to the mother in law, she was born up near Koeningsburg east prussia area before ww2 and at about age 15 or 16, german army took all the farms up there. then they made their way to baden-baden and gangenbach near the black forest area. she wasnt sure on the spellings of the towns, been so long since she was there. she would like to find a pre-ww2 map of germany to figure out exactly where the farm was.

Baden Baden is about 150 miles South and a little East. The other place is about 350 miles North and a little East. The farms in southern Germany probably haven't changes in appearance since she left (accept for having tractors and modern machines). You folks with big sprawling places would sure be cramped. Get her on the internet and take a little tour. Google maps will show some decent pics and may even have the driving camera for that area.
