Who made a real trailer like this?

Not the toy I just had this picture. We have a trailer that has been in the family for I know the last 30 years. It belonged to My mothers Dad. We use it in parades and for work on the farm. As for the trailer it looks just like the toy with the exceptions it does not have a winch or the raised area over the wheels. Out side of that it is just like the toy. At one time there was two of these in the area. I have been all over this trailer an can not find a manufacture name or any info on it. I would like to know who made it and what year it is. It's time for a new paint job and wanted the info to display on trailer when in parades. We are south of Louisville KY. Thanks

Yours could have been shop built local or manufactured with no ID left on it now. There were lots of companies and shops that made those for a while back then and some tractor companies sold trailers they didn't make with their name on them too. You can see and find pics or illustrations of those old trailers in lots of old issues of Implement & Tractor I&T Catalog File, Farm Implement News Buyers Guide, The Tractor Field Book and others. Here are few names of single axle 2 wheel farm implement trailers from back in the 1950s listed in a 1951 Farm Implement News Buyers Guide.

Did the trailer have a curved front end, and holes pressed upward in the floor, where you drive the wheels of your lawn tractor or whatever is loaded on the trailer. If so, it may be a snowco trailer, they made them, and others rebadged them, including AC, IH, JD.
