Green 5105 injector pump

I have a green 5105. Darn thing only has about 300 hrs on it. It is getting hard to start. I have to turn the key off and on several times before it will fire.
I was told by a friend that has one that they have a problem with the solenoid in the injector pump going bad.
Great! I only use it to mow the fields at church. It's like a new tractor.
Can the solenoid be replaced...or do I have to replace the entire pump?
I would like to put a manual shut off on it...but was told the voltage comes from a module under the sheetmetal somewhere. Plus, if the solenoid enclosure is wet...then I would have a fuel leak.
I appreciate any and all help.

Factory warranty?
Key on & off before it will fire??????????
Are you are cranking it several times? How long each? Are you turning the key several times an absolutely nothing cranking? Is the engine cranking and just making smoke but not starting? Is the weather cold and it won't start and in warm weather it did start? Is the battery half dead from short run times?

you might just want to check your key switch maks sure you have a good conection. then check your fues make sure thy have good conection. looking at parts break down looks like it have a valve with a solenoid on it that can be replaced under pump. but first make sure it is tight on valve and is clean. and has good conection. if the solenoid is loes it well not work, as it is a ele. magent.

I suspect he's turning the key on and off to cycle the glow plugs. I have a 4010 (no, not THAT 4010- mine is an 18.5 HP compact utility), and the glow plugs only stay on for about a second when you turn on the key. I do the same thing with mine in cold weather, and it seems to start quicker.

No glow plugs. No heat of any kind. I am in South East Texas and did not get the heater grid that goes in the intake.
The tractor had set for 10 minutes after mowing 12 acres of grass with a finish mower. It was hot too...air temp was about 95F
It has always started well even at below freezing.
It cranked well, no smoke...just turned over and did not fire. After the 3rd or 4th try...it fired right up.
But thanks for your help...

Sorry...this machine has named me Blewitt several times now.
It was over 3/4 full...I just filled it that morning...never takes more than 5 gal. I keep it full as possible to keep the water out...even though it sets inside all of the time.

With only 300 hrs it's most likely a relay or possibly the fuel sensor part # RE503242. The fuel control solenoid can most likely be replaced without pump R&R.
