The kids ot Garden Tractors at shows got me to wandering how many of the folks here use golf carts or other types of rides when they go to the shows and swap meets ?

I'm getting one ready, an old 3 wheeler. We can't walk long distances like we used to and need a spot to rest. Hope they don't ban them from the shows.

I take a golf cart with me when ever I get to go to a show which is not often,. I have 2 artificial knees and my wife has had numerous foot surgeries. We both are holders of legitimate handicapped parking permits. I also carry $3k of liability insurance on the golf cart and at ages 65 and 70, we drive carefully when we use it.

We take one to the shows we camp at. It sits most of the day, and we only use it in the evening when the crowd dies down, and going to the bath house to get a shower. On occasion, a fellow employeee brings his Dad, who is disabled and we ride him around.

when they ban golf carts alot of shows will become a lot smaller i too have a handicap sticker im not able to walk long distances anymore like using my gator but so many places are banning gators i guess im going to have to get me a golf cart too

I use a riding mower with hydro drive so I can creep along just barely moving. At Albany today ,I had to show my drivers license or proof of insurance. I know I drive a lot slower than some on carts or 4 wheelers. If I couldn't use that I won't be able to go to the show anymore.

We have our home owners policy with Farm Bureau Insurance Company and they will no longer insure golf carts or other recrational type vehicles on the home owner polcies. We have the golf cart liability with State Farm along with our automobile policies.

I don't think he is talking about someone that needs a golf cart to get around due to health problems. He is talking about smart #$$ kids that should not be operating a motor driven vehicle in the first place.

For folks that need them I think they are wonderful. I had a hip replacemnet last winter and the years leading up to it I was REAL glad I had my golfcart.
For kids to run around and be a nusance with they should be banned. I like the idea of having to show license and proof of insurance or need.

At Red Power this year the web site said 4 wheelers were allowed but they had a fit when we got to the show but gave me a permit anyway. They were hard on riders and I was glad, no kids riding, they even called the wife down because the grandson was operating the 4 wheeler even though he was sitting on her lap. I am working on a cart for next summer, the gator is to long to fit in the truck bed(6 wheeler)and the shows are having trouble with 4 wheelers.

I dont have a bit of problem with folks that NEED one . With a hip replacment and several back surgerys I need one but I grit my teeth and suffer through because I go to see whats there and ya dont see half of it riding around in a cart but if ya need one and want to ride you should be able to . Last show I was at there was a mom and dad in there fortys zippin up and down the rows to fast to see anything and on the back was there two teenagers that was texing everytime ya seen them , dont think they have looked up to see if the sun was shining in a week . I guess they were handicaped just depends on the way ya look at it .
