I"m sure that Dave2 will see that the tractor & old Dodge is as ugly as it gets. Pictures will show the embarassment we suffer by hiding underneath Straw hat and sun glasses. The last embarassing touches went on the 706 today. Loader, windshield wiper motor.Mirror, grab handle.and don"t forget the bucket. All the stuff installed today was the finishing touches to MAKE IT AS UGLY AS IT GETS lol.The picture of me gives the statement I give up, and other one is covering up. The picture of my son who did the work was also embarrassed(note hat and Glasses)! The dodge was also renovated from the junk pit,1979 power wagon. That too was a complete rebuild, from frame, Engine, different front axle, re-upholstered the seat, rebuilt the automatic transmission that he did.
Now we wont try and force any embarassment on any body else. We will bare up under the strain. lol. One last project, Make the old red 75 Ford into a dump lift. Then it"s quits for the year,Making up wood soon. gotta keep warm this winter. Hope ya got your bailer,Looked nice on the forum. Sure looked good.

That 706 looks so shabby that maybe you should bring it over to my place for safe keeping. Darn it looks good!

Now as far as the 79 Dodge goes, that sure doesn't look like a 79, or at least it doesn't look like the one I bought new in 79. Maybe you should bring it over here too so I can try it out. It's gotta get better mileage than my 3/4 ton with a 360 and 4:10 finals. Jim

Oh my gosh, the ugliest ever. Jeez man, how could you do this to that tractor? No wonder the Dodge is covering it!

JUST KIDDIN' fella.

All in all, i'm proud of the painting skills you guys got.

Have a good time with it.

I like the Power Wagon too. Very nice. It doesn't quite look like the 79 Snow Commander I had either. The grill looks to be from a 77 Power wagon.

Right you are it"s a 77 grill from an army truck. Technicaly it's a 79-76-77 grill.Took 3 of em spliced together to make one good one.
we do have an offer from Dave 2 to take the 706 off our hands so we wouldn't feel embarassed if any one seen us driving it. You offer sounds pretty close .lol He also advised us to hide under a hat with sun glasses, DIDN"t work out so well. Now the whole wide world knows it"s us.
Thanks for swell coments . WE love humor .Badly needed this day and age.

Hi Mj brown. The tractor cab is a cozy cab (WE THINK)as there is no identifing marks or name plate on it .It sure Needed Sand blasting and new paint. Got it from a I.H dealer over in Luverne Min. The Sunvisor was mangled so bad. My son made a new one from Stainless, it also had a OLD OLD OLD am radio and a heater that leaked anti freeze, Got a new heater for the cab.All the window and door weather seals were cracked he installed new seals from J.C.Whitney. THe only saving grace was, No Broken Glass.Next years plan is he will do the upholstery in the cab. Were hoping the new heater will at least mfg enough heat when the snow flies. Sure hope so. Gotta keep warm up here.
Thanks for the kind comments.

Got a second set of tires and rims. Yep they are spoked chrome, and the steps are for a Jeep .Couldnt buy em for that old of a truck, so we made mounting brackets from the frame out. Not a problem. He cut in a sun roof to boot. and he added a second gas tank, cause the military box had only one tank & door. Changed the front axle over to a mile marker with lock out hubs.
Sand blasted it all from he frame up. Put in a stainles steel double to single exhaust.New rear 3/4 leaf springs, herculined the frame ,bottom of cab, bed and added a tonneau hinged cover, made a trailer hitch, added clearence lights ftont and rear, New off road lights and a push bar with tow hooks. It should go for years provided some drunk doesn;t hit it. Gotta hope not ,Thanks for your questions and comments

Just pitiful.................. But I can see redemption my Brother... If you were to make that Ford a pretty red & white with a black (blue would be nice, but black would match the tractor bucket) snow blade and white spoke wheels, do up a nice trailer (red & white) to haul the tractor behind it, and I could see you on the front of some magazines. Keep the hat on so you don't make a glare on the pics but you can take the glasses off.

Try and keep that dodge a respectable distance away so it don't smell up the cab of the nice truck though

Very nice. Keep the pics coming.

Dave

PS.

Getting cold feet on the baler... Found a couple New Hollands that folks seem to brag a little more on for the same price range and same distance away. We'll see.

Pretty!

Off-subject question: You live in WI, and yer just now getting started on this winter's wood? I'm guessing it's been down a while and you're just splitting it?

Due to factors beyond my control, I've had to have green tree length delivered mid-summer to be worked up as quickly as possible in hopes of having it dry enough to burn by September/October.

Hard to make em ugly.Sure does take time. Almost a year come november. Sure you can do it. lol
Warmenst reguards.

Hi fawteen. Man -O-man. Wish our wood was here. Wont deliver it till end of this month middle of Oct. We do have access to some dry, we gotta haul home from the woods. Will be hustleing for time. AGAIN!!!!. Darn winter,!!. Nope ain't gonna put the tractor in the trees. Just on the login road. Can pull it (wood) out to the road, cut it, put it in the truck. Nice and dry stuff.
Will split new smaller so it will freeze dry, and we use creasoat destroyer , keep chimmly clean, We do have a new(2year old) Lenox oil so won't be with out heat either way.Just love the wood heat. Don't have to pay the big oil companies big bucks, at least we might be able to save some money for needed home items. LOU

Looks good, the tractor that is. I'd be looking around for some wider wheels and tires for the front and hope those little ones can carry the load this year. If you have 16" on your trucks find some wider wheels and put truck tires on the front they will carry the load too if wider and heavy ply.
