ok, this may sound dumb, but are all roosa master DB pump rotors and heads the same? i have a seized rotor and was wondering if a head and rotor from another DB pump will work?(same number of cylinders)

No. The head and rotor for Stanadyne/Roosamaster series pumps differs by the number of cylinders in the engine it powers. Also, it differs by the diameter of the pump-plungers, and the number of plungers.

Usually, if two pumps ran engines with the same amount of cylinders, and both pumps have the same sized plunger, then you can swap.

DB pump, or JDB, on a Deere can be 3, 4, or 6 cylinder. Also, the model number tag will tell you the diameter of the pump plungers.

For example, a pump from a 350 Deere crawler and/or 1020 farm tractor is: JDB331AL2732

That means - J for "John Deere", DB for "die-cast B model pump", 3 for "three cylinder engine", 31 for .31" diameter pump plungers, etc. etc.

All DB pumps and DB2 pumps are two-plunger pumps. DB4 pumps and DC pumps have four plungers.
