john deere 50

That stuff is just another type of snake oil that does nothing but make the company that sells it money. These old tractors where made to run on the cheapest lowest grade of gas there was and some of that stuff was very low grade back in the day

Lead additives are only required in Pratt & Whitney or Franklin aircraft engines.
So unless you are cruising at 10,000ft with your 50, don't worry about it.
Nobody every asks about lead additives for LP, diesel or all-fuel engines. Those engines run and last just fine without lead.
Lead does more to shorten engine life than to extend it.
Lead additives = snake oil.

While lead can indeed help to a smallllllllll extent as far as valve wear and valve seat recession as it sort of lubricates and softens the valve to seat impact, AT YOUR LOWWWWWWW RPM AND LOWWWWWWWWWW HOURS AND LOWWWWWWWWWW COMPRESSION (its sure not needed to reduce pre ignition spark knocking)

I SAY YOU WOULD NEVER LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO OBSERVE ANY NOTICEABLE OR MEASURABLE DIFFERENCE IF YOU USED A LEAD ADDITIVE OR NOT IN THAT 50

If you had an older high RPM car with high compression and the softer valve seats it could help a slight bit more......

Been working a 56 model 50 in the hay fields for last two years pulling the baler with a acculater. She just keep running on one and half
gallon of regular gas per hour.
