92 F-150 engine swap.

I'm looking at replacing a bad 5 liter V-8 with a 4.9 inline 6 in a 92 F-150 4X4 Lariet truck with an auto tranny. The donar truck is a 92 F-150 4X4 Custom also with an auto tranny. Has any of you folks tackled this and if so what problems did you have? To make a long story short my daily driver has a bad front pumkin and very worn suspention. Picked up the one with the bad engine for parts and once I got it home it's a better truck than I'm now driving. TIA; Merle

If you have both trucks,,, both have the same wheel base then it should B no problem,, you will need to swap the wiring harness and PCM,,, how much of it I dunno. Ford swaps are a PITA BUT if you have both donor vehicles it makes things go EZ'er. Neither truck is hard to work one once you take the plenum off. Its Doable and not as bad as one would think

Piece of cake! Since you have both right there, it's just a matter of transferring all the V-8 required stuff to the other truck.
