Got a Atwoods opening in my area this week. Just wondering how they were. Got a TSC here but been less than impressed with them. Hard to find hay equipment parts at the TSC.
Just wanted to get an idea of what to expect and if they have good buys.
Thanks

We have both here. TSC has more parts. Atwoods has more feed. Atwoods puts out a weekly add with some good buys. I usally hit Atwoods first...it's closer.

I have been to the one in Paris, and the one in Corsicana. They have a lot bigger and better selection on a lot of things. From what I have seen, if the one opening here in Greenville is anything like the one in Paris, I will quit shopping at TSC. After a year or so I bet TSC will be gone. Call Betty at Greenville Tractor Supply 903-454-4824, just south of town on 34 about 4 miles from TSC. She can and will get you anything you need if it is available. Let me know if you need any help finding stuff. I have lots of contacts around here, sine I have been here all of my 33 years. Jeff

Jeff thanks for the info
Is Greenville tractor supply still in business? I thought they shutdown after death of one of the owners. I did allot of business with them. I know the store was/is for sale. Hopefully Greenville tractor supply is open now, they were good in getting stuff for me in past.
Looking forward to see what Atwoods has and prices
Thanks again

Yeah, after Wyman passed Betty shut it down for a while. She opened it back up back in November. The store is still for sale, but Betty told me she would keep it open as long as she is able to. I think she missed the old customers as much as we missed her. I wish I had the money. With her help to get started, a man could have a life long future there. I have known them all my life, they used to deliver the mail when I was a kid growing up. I used to leave them lunch in the mailbox on saturday. You can check Broke F in Commerce for used parts.

I am there at least 3 days a week for something when I am home. I try to help Betty out as much as I can, when she needs it. I am looking forward to Atwoods myself, but will still give Betty all of my business that I can regardless of the price.

Had one open in Corsicana. Went to their grand opening. They had more stuff that TSC, but were considerably higher on some things, competitive on others.

My take is that Atwoods is more like a hardware store than TSC or Orschelns and has a rather large line of pipe fittings and electrical.

The one I visit also has an aisle of unique and reasonably priced items from toys to cheap lanterns and used ammo cans.

Glad to hear she's open. We knew his health wasn't good and had seen the for sale sign. I think we've bought some stuff from them before. I know we stopped one evening and looked at the old tractors behind the store.

A couple of years ago he showed me the JD H that was "in pieces" there in his shop.

Told me he had another "complete" JD H at his home.

Always enjoyed stopping to visit with both of them when passing through on the way to the farm.

She has relatives over in NE Texas if memory serves me.

Good to know that she reopened the store.

That sounds like the store in Derby. It's a nice store.

Yes, that is the one in Derby. I live in Hutch and my kids did live in Andover so I would stop in every so often to look around. See their flyer on occasion.

Kids have moved to Potwin while building a new house in Whitewater so I no longer travel close by.

I got along better in finding what I wanted before they rearranged last year and they are still lacking some shelf prices but I do enjoy the store.

The grocery store close by is a little different than a Dillon's and is also worth looking around in.

Both of their kids are here, and I am sure Betty has other relatives in this area. I just don"t know. If not, she can always be considered to be related to her life long customers.
