Here's a Citron I grew for my nephew that will make preserves from it this Fall. My late mom and grandma grew these too and made preserves. We ate it over hot biscuits made from scratch. Its good with fried scrapple and eggs over light.

PS: I want to thank the person that sent me some seed. I think he lives in MD too.

I"ve got those growing all over my property in South Texas. I have never tried them but the wild hogs and coyotes love them. What do they taste like?

Glad to see you got those citron up. I didn,t even plant any this year, just forgot to do it. Usually have some to come up on their own somewhere, but not this year. MIght call on you for some seeds next year. Robert in Md.

Does anyone have a few seeds to part with? they used to grow all over our area but i never see them any more. I'll be glad to pay for them.

I hope my nephew will keep some seeds from this citron when he makes preserves. I will try to remind him when he picks it up or we take it to him in Elkton. I had lots of blossoms and vines everywhere, but only one fruit developed on the vines. Be sure to remind in the Spring and I will will send you some seed. Hal

Thanks for posting the photo as I have never seen photos of it before.

I sometimes used candied citron in the fruitcakes I make from time to time.
