Time for some Art.

Here is an rendition by Oil on Panel by an Artist who I have great respect for. Besides having many interests which are farm related I am a practicing Painter of what ever I see which has an interest for me,so when Eric Bowman e-mailed me the most recent painting he did was I surprised to see it was of an old Case L Model sitting as if ready to go to the field. I have brought it here for your enjoyment. I most certainly got a big warm feeling seeing the old girl as he has portrayed her. Enjoy JH

Now that"s art. I see so much junk that"s called "art" its really nice to see a good painting that takes some skill to do.

Nice piece of work !! It's not easy to bring life to a piece of canvas like that.

I almost tried wet on wet like that guy on TV that made "happy little trees", and "happy little branches" all with a 4" brush and a putty knife and various assorted sizes of brushes.

Looked so easy, and he promised you can't mess up.

Neighbors had one of those when I was a kid. Pulled a big (at that time) orchard sprayer with it. A fascinating machine. I remember really liking the bail type radiator cap.

Thanks for posting a very nice painting.

I had a CASE model C like that, but it had 2
fuel caps, one for the 2 gallon gas part of the
tank, and one for the 15 gallon kerosene part.
It was started on gas, then, when warmed up,
you turned a valve to open the kerosene and shut
off the gas. Before shut down you reversed the
proceedure to get gas in the carb. for the next start.
