New Holland Manure spreader replacement sides?

Someone told me the other day that New Holland manure spreader sides are lifetime warranty, and that if they rust out the company will replace them for free??? Anybody else know anything about this? I have a 519 that the sides are rotted out along the floor line, and thought if this were true I might as well get new panels for it and then replace the floor at the same time.

I thought I heard they were warrantied for 12 years, could be wrong thought,And I think it is on newer spreaders.j

I remember seeing that claim years ago in New Holland manure spreader advertising brochures. We had a 1978 model 518 that had that warranty in the operators manual. Your later model 519 could have still had the lifetime rust through also. Current models have limit of 12 years for replacement.
Call a New Holland dealer. Good luck.

The lifetime warranty on the 519 spreader sides is an absolute fact. I worked at a Ford New Holland Dealer from 1986 to 1988 and I remember getting a set for a customer under that warranty when I was parts manager after the Ford-New Holland merger. I remember one of the field reps that came from the New Holland side telling me they were able to use that warranty as a selling feature without much financial detriment to the company because the the warranty was only valid for the original owner, and most farmers didn't want to go to all the work of replacing them anyway. Unless something changed legally when Fiat bought the company from Ford, if you are the original owner of that spreader, that warranty is a binding contract between you and the company, and I would think the company should honor it. Unless you are dealing with same dealer you bought it from and they still have the sales records, you may have to produce your bill of sale.

Ok, thanks for the info guys. I'm not the original owner and I don't have the original bill of sale. I'll ask a dealer, but I bet you're right about having to be the original buyer.

A brochure I looked today is dated 1974 and it states offer for new sides for spreader "whether purchased new or used". Series of spreaders of which the 519 was in may have been changed to "purchased new".

I got a new set for our 520 two years ago, no questions asked. I did get them from the dealer we bought the spreader from but that was 20 years ago and they never asked if I was the origional owner or if I had the origional bill for the spreader.
