wondering if iowa got 7 to 12 inches of rain what did rantol show get??? was going to leave this evening but don't want to see just mud!!

My friend just called me from there at 10 AM this morning and its raining there. everyone is camped out under thier tents waiting. ~~~

Just talked to my parents that are there. Still getting a little rain right now. Should be over by noon. It is 60 degrees there. Supposed to be nice weather saturday

I can't say what it's like down there today, but yesterday (Thursday) it was dry. It rained about noon, but the ground down there is so dry that it never got muddy or even stuck to your shoes. Plowing was a bit tough in the corn fields due to the lack of moisture. While in the fields I saw some cracks in the dirt about 1/2" wide.

Being on an air base there is a LOT of asphalt and concrete, you don't need to be IN the field to see whats going on.

Here are a couple pictures that were taken yesterday during the Tractor Ride.

My old truck is driving on concrete right past the crops.

You owe it to yourself to come to the Half Century of Progress Show in Rantoul! The weather people are promising great weather for both Saturday and Sunday.

Got about an inch this afternoon (Fri) and the pull was called off. No more rain predicted, should be nice the rest of the weekend. It was muddy, but still a great show. Plenty of concrete if the mud doesn't dry up. Lots of odd and rare stuff.
