super c corn picker

hi all
do you think that a super c would be able to handle a two row corn picker or just a one row. i recently got my dads super c running and know a guy who has an IH No. 2-MH corn picker. i have seen them on a lot of m s but didnt know if a super c would be enough power. thank

I've pulled a 2r new idea pull type and gravity wagon with a super c. of course, that's flat ground, and when the wagon is full, that's all the super c wants to pull. if the ground is muddy at all, forget about it. but on level, frozen ground, it's fine. the picker itself doesn't take much power.

i think the 2MH is a mounted picker. not sure if the brackets would work on a smaller tractor than the H.

A C would be at risk of being destroyed by a 2MH.
Even with one side only, it would have a tough time carrying it to the field. Pull type one row yes (slowly)
Corn was making 50 bu/acre when the picker and tractor were made, and they were not made for each other. In 100+ B/acre it will not be reasonable. JimN

A 2-MH is a heavy machine. In its time it snapped many rear axles on M's and even larger tractors like the 560. It was to heavy for even an H. A small one row snapper was made to fit the Super C, very hard to find tho.

No way you wont even find mounts for it and if you make them the axles will stand a good chance of breaking on the first bump. Get a one row pullthen you can go.

One row pull type will be all it wants. Maybe not enough tractor if the ground is a bit muddy and you may not be able to completely fill your wagons. Been times I used my JD D on my one row if it was muddy enough. Picker doesn't take much power, it's pulling the loaded wagon.
