Traded for that model of baler this last week with in the neighborhood of 1500 actual bales through it this last week. Paint still on the pickup assembly.

Keep that one on the bottom of the stack . Alfalfa isnt curing out very fast around here this yr. guess your seeing the samething .

Yeah,

I'm baling along and not even looking back.

Wonder how many of those wet dudes I dropped before it refused to kick that one? :>(

It looks like I will join you. Didn't get to move the baler today or probably tomorrow either. the weather sometimes tries my patience. Bud

Wouldn't put it to close to the big pile. Last week the fire department went by to put one out in the middle of the field. It had been there for quite awhile too before it went up in smoke.

Last week I loaded one on the sled. As I was pulling away, I thought I saw a little wisp of smoke. I sat there and stared at it with the spear still about a foot in the bale. Saw another little wisp. Pulled away and got off to feel in the bale. It was very hot, and I couldn't hardly hold my hand on the end of the spear.

I took those bales to my storage area, but scattered them around the field instead of bunching them. Figgered I'd see one burning, but it's been about four days and nothing changed.

I no longer have a sense of smell (and not much other sense either) or I would probably have been able to smell burned hay.
