John Deere 4020 Gas (power shift)

Could someone tell me how to find out how many of these tractors were made? I have been told that the power shift was not put in many of these gas tractors.

This is an early made tractor. It does not have console hydraulic.

Dealer that I worked for sold two to the same guy.That was all I remember us selling.

There were 8134 4020 gas tractors produced.The number of P.S. is not known.If you have a 1972 P.S.they only made 45 total so it might be rare.I recently saw an average 69 P.S. sell for $5300

back in the early 70s' , my brother and I Ran a nice 1966 gasser 4020 slot machine shifter ,,used to take turns driving it while the other went after more gas ...LOL

An early side console LP or gasser with PS is getting valuable enough to leave alone.
Anybody who swaps a side console LP or gasser with PS to diesel is truly daft in the head. Even a syncro LP or gasser side console is certainly worth being left alone.
