Posted a note about being careful on tractors when it comes to the starters, I was under my tractor and wiggled the cable and the tractor tried to start, but I had it in neutral,and lived to tell about it. Well that was about three days ago and in the next town about 7 miles down the road yesterday in a hay field a man I know tring to start his tractor while on the grown, it did start and ran over him along with the hay machine, and he didnt make it, so all you tractor lovers please think 3 times about dangers of these machine we like to work on.

When I first bought my 3000 I made a pact with myself to never start it if I wasn't in the seat. It's a diesel and none of the safty stuff is hooked up. Well aware it will hurt me if I let it.

I have reached for the key a couple times off the tractor and had to remind myself of my pact.
