Does anybody here in New York know if Knapp's is still in business in Livonia, NY. Old Bill was quite the character when he was in business but I know he passed on quite a while ago. The nephew was running the place the last I knew but it did sit for a while after Bill. I was given a phone number but it is no longer in service.
Somebody said the town was trying to get rid of them as they are close to Conesus Lake and the rich folk did not like the sight.
 
Knapp's is not that close to the lake. As a matter of fact, it's quite a ways from the lake. Something smells fishy here.
 
good old oinkle bill,remember his space capsule made out of an old storage tank? havent been there in years,used to go there in the early summer before the weeds got too tall just to walk around.BillM.

That was something I heard in passing, I have no idea as to the validity. Yes, I do know they are not right on the shoreline. Bottomline is I want to find a part for an Oliver tractor and I know in years past they would have it. I do not currently have a good phone number if they are still going I would like to see if they have it. It's a little far for me to drive on a whim and when Bill was there it was 50/50 whether he was home at a given time.
