Maybe thinks its a deer?

Hmm. What's that there in the back ground of that middle picture? One of them more fuel fuel efficient corn pickers available through the cash for corn picker clunkers program? Just jokin. I know its really some fella that couldn't find a lake for his boat, so a few beers later the corn field oughta do just fine. Been there, done that a few times myself. Neighbors hate when I do that, but they always get over it cause I always give a few beers and whatever fish I catch out there.

Looks like you caught him two times. Once with halter on, once off. And to muudy the waters it's a Sorrel? Or Strawberry?

wo different horses. No ribs sticking out on these two. David................

here are the two thieves and their lookout. feel real bad for these horses, neighbors dont take much care of em. they have about 3/4 acre pasture thats grazed down to the dirt, they feed em a little grain, but cant afford hay, so the cut the lawn and then sweep up the grass clipping. i dropped about 60 square bales of grass hay over there for em to at least eat something. they started sneeking out and grazing on some of my field corn and also the sweet corn. neighbors have an electric fence but the fencer got hit by lightning and hasnt worked in a year. animal control has been out a number of times, but they say the horses seem ok. before i brought them hay, you could see all the ribs. some people just plain shouldnt have animals. btw, the little pot belly pig is a product of a brother and sister. they never cut the boar. jeez. and yup thats there collection of junk cars, trucks and burned out campers.

Sounds like ya kinda like the critters, and you are already supporting them, maybe they will give them to you or sell real cheap?

Don't ya just love neighbors like that. They have animals, but don't feed them enough, so then they wonder why their critters don't stay at home.
To bad they won't eat the Velvetleaf.
Have a good one, Todd

Folks need to keep their stock in. We have worked very hard on the place we re-seeded in the hay field. I was REAL unhappy when I went to the hay field one day and found hoof prints right across where the new grass was coming up.

If those horses get very much of that corn, there could be a vet bill. Corn stalks are too coarse for a horse's digestive track.

They are nice looking horses, though.

Take a look at the pic where the one without socks is looking at you. Notice the bad place on his nose? That was probably caused by leaving the halter on all the time.
