John Deere B wwll tractor?

I have a john deere b i cant make out the serial number all the way but i think its a 42 or 43. what are some signs to tell if it was made during the war?

Take a look at <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvc3v5NobCY">"John B"</a> our 43 Wartime B.

Warning: the seat is incorrect and I have not painted and replaced the flywheel cover.

Steel serial number tag, vs. aluminum. A very few war tractors will have a steering wheel made of a mottled gray plastic, apparently Deere could not get hard rubber, or so I have been told.

what about the rims the rims are like a pressed steel not the rim with a hub they are just a solid pressed steel rim is that an indicator

heres me 43 b if you want more detailed pics let me know mine has the full belly frame, and steel tag, pressed steel wheel

Pressed steel or cast was just based on use preferance if both avaible as for light work you did not need the aditional weight, heavy tillage you wanted all the weight you could get
