Bumble Bee is home!!

As promised, my wifes baby is home. Well i thought the free filly might be costing her 3000bucks, but hey it was only 1500. I'm rich again. LOL
I was told to mow the lawn today. Soooooo..... Here they are 3 lawn mowers, doing a fine job they are. Everything is fenced so they can roam where they want just like the wife always dreamed of .
If you look close at her back legs you can see where she cut the legs pretty bad. But things look good now. So all is right in the world again. LOL

Come this winter, are you going to buy grass, or do you have it in the fields ?

Horses take a lot of hay to keep them healthy, so that's always a concern, hope your in good shape..

OH yea go zeke we have about 10 round bales rolled we can get off this property. Then i bring down from our farm in illinois about 250 square bales of alfalfa grass mix. Have goats and a couple of cows to feed also.
I always wondered why they called them hayburners. I now understand COMPLETELY!!!! Lol

There are a couple 'hayburners' across the road, dunno why they keep them, they never ride them. Always looks to me like they waste more hay on the ground than they eat. That would have been unacceptable on the farm...But they are town transplants and educated so what's an old farm boy know? I could feed them for half as much.
The baby looks great, keep nursing it along. It'll be fine.

If you keep the wounds moist (anti-biotic wound dressing) they will heal faster. If you continue to keep the area moist (Horseman's dream veterinary cream or similar) after the wound has closed, it will reduce scarring and help the hair grow back faster.

Did your vet recommend a wound dressing or supply you with some?

Yes maam,
We have a cabinet full of all the goodies. She showed me which is for the growth of the hair and scaring.
Thanks Nancy. I'm going to take a couple of more pics of our place , it's so nice out . We have or i should say my wife has a view of about 80 horses grazing a pasture below us. I've enjoyed all of your pics also.

I hope they don't develop a taste for vinyl siding, or air conditioners. Some horses do, just ask anyone who's parked a truck in a pasture for more than a little while.
Still, they do look nice on your lawn. I did that once, fenced off my front lawn so the horses could do their own fair share of mowing and fertilizing.

10 years ago, my wife's motorcycle turned up with some real deep scratches on the tank. Always thought a kid had done it until last month when the farrier was complaining about he had parked too close to a paddock. Same scratches/pattern..... The he!! I caught over the years for nothing.. Because my darling, being like any red blooded woman, insists that anything that happens on the place is my fault....

Dave

You don't have a "motorcycle parking only" spot for the wife's ride? One with her name on the placard, and a guard rail around it? How could you be so negligent...... Of course it was your fault.

These three are real good about not getting into trouble. Now Jodi, our other lawn ornament she will rub on every tree, no cars or anything just trees, she loves bird seed will check every bird feeder, sometimes twice.
I leave them in the yard for 5 or 6 hours then rest them in a loafing shed.
Looks like they have everything clipped nice usually takes 2 days.

I'm down to one horse now. Muffy is 28, Dusty, who died last month was 29. I'm getting a free pair of llamas to keep her company this winter when she comes home from summer pasture. She's out with 1/2 dozen other peoples' horses right now.
