Clear Span building question

Just got a new catalog from these folks and they have what looks like a really good deal on a nice size enclosure. Based on what I read it sounds like they have a good product and a good warranty (15 years) on the material that they use for the cover. My question is this, Has anybody had any real experience with their enclosures/buildings and if so what do you think about their stuff? Reason I ask I want to close in my back shed for more "inside" space and they have a really good price on an enclosure, with one closed end and one zipperend end, that is about the size I need to store the stuff currently in my way. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Who are "these folks"? Don't know who they are so can't comment. I will tell you that 15 years ago, I put up a Morton Building and could not be happier with the building or the folks at Morton. They make a high quality product, do an excellent job putting the building up and their warranty is either 30 or 35 years. Remember, you get what you pay for. LOL.

My neighbor has one. In Iowa, you'll get about 15 years of life from the fabric, then it'll start to tear at the bottom. He put hay bales around the base to hold it on so when the wind blew rather than having it rip off and sail away. As his was nearly twenty years old when he replaced it, the canvas cost as much as the entire structure did when new. It has held up well and is dry storage.

I have no experience with them, but I was looking into some other brands this spring.
I find they're all pretty dodgy about giving answers as to what that cover will withstand. 'Here', we are to say the least, at the very upper, upper end of what wind they will withstand I think. I was trying to get them to commit to a numerical value for wind speed and none would... other than to say it will meet your local conditions.

What I am scared of is that we will have that 1 in 100 year storm... and they will deem it over their engineered value and say 'sorry, we don't cover acts of god'...

I'd challenge them hard on their cover warranty. I'd also inquire with your insurance as to what they expect in terms of design if they wish to cover it. Our carrier is not overly interested in supplying coverage, but they will if it meets certain criteria. Might be worth looking into... first.

Can't help you beyond that other than I like the concept. Open. Bright. Good ventelation... but a lot of them are not so cheap either. The ones I found that would meet the insurance criteria are more money than a pole barn. The ones that are cheap, the insurance doesn't want anything to do with... which says to me, it's got a pretty good chance of blowing away. I wouldn't want to go there.

Well , I've got one, 12' X 25' I got the tall one
because I thought I needed the extra headroom for tractors didn't really need it. It appears to be well made, not as easy to put up as you would think. The bad thing about it is the PRICE, The catalog says its on sale I called to order mine the day after I got the catalog and the price had
gone back to presale even tho the every catalog has
them marked as being on sale. You may as well get the tiedowns from them at the same time you order the tent because you won't find those cheaper anywhere.
