I have a case 1835 uniloader the left hand steering does not work but the right does can someone give me a clue to whether it is the hyd drive pump or something else thanks

Take the covers off and check the chain case that drive that side before going to the hyds. That is not hard to check.

Like Everett said, take the covers off and have a look see. Might be the chain is off or broken. Life is grand when it's a simple fix!

To check to see if the chain slipped off you don't have to pull the cover. Just take the bucket & use down pressure to lift the front wheels off the ground & see if you can turn the front wheel on that side. That is also a good way to check to see how much free play is in the chain. Gerald

My mustang did that . Ended up pulling cage , floor plate for access to drive motors. Had square cut o-ring seal in motor the was damaged. New seal ,$5.00 labor , lots ,,took me full day . There should be pressure test fittings somewhere on the machine . You can test if it is pump or drive motors . Does it try to move on that side at all ? If it does ,,not the chain, you woul dhear or feel it jumping .

this machine does have right drive working not left could that be the drive motor I was also told to check the wheel bearings ?
