O/T 6 jets ??????

If CON-gress gets any of the 6 airplanes they should be painted brite pink ....so we will know its them flying over our farm we are trying to save,,,

no sense in fretting about them. come election time we all will forget about things like this and keep the same ol people in doing the same ol junk and we all will just keep on whining. VOTE EM ALL OUT AND LET EM KNOW NOW WHY YOUR DOING IT!!!!!!!

We have come real close to a third world country/banana republic the way our politicians are chosen and act.

The jets are just a symptom of the problem. Problem actually is the folks who go to the polls and elect these idiots. [Let's agree, first, that NONE of these yahoos would be in office if they weren't voted in...with the exception of Senator Burris and maybe one or two other appointees in the House].

So the problem is with the voters.

Now, you and I know that ACORN isn't active in EVERY community in EVERY congressional district...so it's NOT the ACORN folks who keep electing morons. It's folks right here in our own congressional districts, even in our own precincts, who are voting for the continuation of the stupidity that's going on in both Washington and in the state legislatures.

But maybe it's not "only" the folks who vote...maybe a BIG part of the problem is the HUGE segment of the eligible voters who DON'T go to the polls. Lots of folks, for various reasons, simply don't vote...in some election years, nearly half of eligible voters don't bother to go vote.

But you can bet that the folks ACORN sign up go to the polls!

If this HALF of the voting population would vote, odds are we wouldn't have folks saying that their representatives don't represent their views. So that's HALF the problem. The other half of the problem is that the political parties won't field a decent candidate if they have even HALF a notion that the clueless incumbent might get re-elected. Look at the 2010 Senate race in Kentucky, for example...until Bunning said he wasn't going to run, NO qualified candidates had announced they were going to challenge him. FAR too often these days, it's all about which PARTY keeps the seat, and NOT about getting the most qualified INDIVIDUAL in the seat.

So the best we can do for a solution is to VOTE...then vote OUT anyone who's served more than a couple of terms. And encourage your friends and neighbors to VOTE, and help make sure they can get to the polls no matter WHO they're voting for...because NONE of MY friends and neighbors were registered by ACORN, and I'll bet it's the same for most of you.

Hi Gene, you say vote them out, sounds good but just who is going to run? Anybody who has any smarts at all will never run. The ones that will run are just like what is in power now. The American people are screwed for at least the next 15-20 years.

The story I read said the the government wanted 2 planes to replace some of its aging fleet. However some congressmen want 6 planes with two planes always based at Dulles so they can use them. What a waste.
