i trailer my jd a about every 2 weeks to pulls last weekend we had a 4 day show so i took my a and my b loaded both on trailer and away we went had one slight problem when we got up around 60 mph the trailer swayed wondering if its caused by too much tounge weight? truck is a dodge 2500 trailer is home made 13 foot deck plus 5 foot of beaver tail trailer weighs 3970 pounds real rugged trailer tandem axles i backed my jd b on first weighs 3750 pounds then i pulled my jd a with a couple weights on it up along side my b the a weighed 6040 pounds the rear wheels of the a were right behind the trailer wheels just starting down the beaver tail this is my first time hauling 2 tractors at once ive hauled one tractor seemed like daily never a problem i know its alot of weight for the truck but the truck handled it great just gotta get the sway out of the trailer thanks for any advice

glenn is right, but I always put the smaller tractor on first, but I really think you need a longer trailer to haul 2 safely. my trailer is 26ft.

Glenn's right--not enough tongue weight.
Since the A weighs more put it on first.
Your trialer is long enough particularly as your not putting anything on the beaver tail. You'll probably find that you could even have the B on the beaver tail and it will trail OK. Chaining it down then becomes the issue.

we haul two farmall m's a lot on our trailer it's a eighteen foot 14,000 bumper pull. years back in the hook magazine they did an article on trailing and it said to measure your bumper with your trailer empty then loaded it should be three to four inches lower for good towing with the right amount of tongue weight. i hope you didn't post this question on the tractor transporting page. over there if you haul anything bigger than a cub you need a semi.
