Hey guys!!

Im back... more or less.... We've been going around the last few weeks between Virginia, my dads place in cleveland, and now New Hampshire. Its vacation :)

While i was up in Lakeside, Ohio, we made a trip up to a place called Put-In-Bay a few miles away. After a while of walking around, this amphibious car drives up the boat ramp. The man parks it and it draws a small crowd around it, and i pulled out my camera and asked him if he wanted to be on youtube. He grinned and asked me if i wanted to go for a ride. So heres a video :)

Instead of a picture or two... Heres a whole slideshow of the historic methodist gated community of Lakeside, Ohio...

I dont know when i'll be back at the farm.... so no allis progress of late.... My eye healed over just fine, BTW. I got to walk through two airports with a patch over it... But its all good :)

An Amphicar! Now that's cruzin' in style!! There are two or three of those in Port Washington, a town just east of here on lake Michigan. Clever little contraptions. All sorts of fun until you get out to the 3' - 5' waves. You get to feeling kinda small, then. Glad to hear your work/vacation is going well. - Mike

you always seem to be in the right place but now I guess you are looking for one of those or... trying to figure out how to make a amphitractor lol

Lanse, are you in southern NH? come on over and I'll give you some farming work for a break from a dull vacation.

Good to hear from you again; hope you're enjoying your vacation.

Thanks for sharing the video on the amphibious car; that's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Hey, Lanse, were you in Lakeside on July 25th?...I was there with the OSU Marching Band Alumni...Good time on a great day...
Later,
Bill

I had a friend that owned an Amphicar. He liked to scare people that didn't know what it was by driving into the water especially at night claiming that his brakes had failed. He drove into the water once without the plug in. It was funny because the ramp was dirt and he couldn't get back up it.

Should have stopped by for some tractor time. I'm 35 mi south of cleveland...hey, is your dad that outdoors writer.
