Hope you enjoyed the show anyway. As to the winter, been wondering that myself. I've heard that about squirrels nests too. Haven't checked on the honey bees yet. Heard some geese the other day, didn't see which way they were going. Got 3 little bats that roost and hibernate in the shop rafters. They looked awful FAT the other day. Haven't noticed other things yet. Have extra firewood ready and hope for the best.

Ever been in a drought?

To much rain might be a b!tch at times, plenty grazing but crappy hay.
But it sure beats being too dry,no grass or hay or anything.

Give me the rain

Been dry since June, but lately we've gotten some rain. Not enough, but it helps a lot.

I started cutting oats on Saturday and got the headlands almost done until I hit a peice of a cinder block and broke a section. FIxed it, went home and cut the rest yesterday. Rained last night, a good 1/2".

I've always heard the higher the ears on the corn the higher the snow will be. This year is the worst, shortest looking corn I've ever seen. Guess we won't be getting much snow either....

If it means anything, we should have very little snow. Sprayed & destroyed a nest below the power meter box last week & to day there was one on the back end of the doghouse.
