Hydraulic pump

I have had the hydraulic pump out 6 times and can not see anything wrong with it, every thing looks so simple and the lift top looks good but the lift will not go down. What could be pluged up?

Jesse,

I don't know the first thing about an 8N, but on an Internationl, that would be a draft linkage issue. Not the pump at all.

well I thought the pump should exhast the fluid so the lift could go down, there has to be a way to release the pressure

The pump has two valves one lift goes up the other valve lift goes down well the valve is moving in & out but the lift will not go down it is up solid as a rock

not sure about a 8n but,on a 9n and 2n the exhaust port would be plugged.the valve bushing has to be pressed out and cleaned.the hole is about a 16th. in diameter

Thanks twopop that is what I wanted to hear I figured it was something like that, now I just got to figure out if I can get the bushing out, does the bushing have a hole in it? Could I run a piece of wire in it. I looked for a hole but I see nothing just a groove inside the exhaust port, I looked for a hole it must be really clogged up

i dont think you can see the hole without pressing the bushing out then you need to clean the entire pump again and even clean the passage up thru the side of the trans housing where the oil goes up to the lift

i had the same problem when you look at the pump from the back the right side rocker lever should touch the housing mine didnt it took alot of pressure too free it hope it helps
