My new NH Baler knotter.

So bought this NH baler a couple weeks ago it works fine but about every 75 to 100 bales it misses the tie on the left side. Annoying but I can live with it. So I went out spent $32 for knew knives now the left side won't tie at all. BUMMER.
Changed the Bill Hook made ever adjustment I could but still no knot. More Bummers.
Replaced the wiper with the new blade in it and Viola success. Took a good look at the old wiper and it was bent. should have done that first would have saved a lot work and frustration.

The process of elimination gets pricey sometimes.Good to hear you got it working right.

Sounds like it is time to put the old parts back on. You know how it goes if it isn't broke don't fix it and if you do fix it then it will not work at all

The knife arm has to travel close to the bottom of the bill hook to push the knot off the hook.It also has to travel far enough to push the knot off the bill hook.If the bill hook holds on to the knot the knife will cut the string. The bill hook opens to stretch the knot just before the knife arm strips the knot off.

Had an old Ford baler years ago- would miss about one bale out of 50, then quit tying completely on one side. Turned out the pin holding the hook on the billhook was broke- and no way to fix on a Sunday. There was an old set of very well worn billhooks in the toolbox, so I put them on- never missed another bale for the rest of the year.
