Hey folks,

Think this thing will do even close to what it advertises without ruining the vehicle?

I don't know dave2, jeeze how do you wade through all the gimmicks and sleaze balls. For all we know they are sitting in an apartment somewhere selling crapola. Would be nice though, but i suspect not.

I think that little engine is about maxed out in stock form. Getting 173 hp out of 2.0 itres (122 cubic inches for us English-speaking folks) is pretty impressive. Another 20 hp at maximum RPM might not even be very useful.

If I had 173 HP, I'd be sh!!in tall cotton..... 95 HP is what I have. 2.0 SOHC, the DOHC gets about 128HP.

I don't guess the newer engine will bolt up, then? That would (obviously) be your safest and most reliable HP boost. Could you get it licensed after you did it? I don't know how strict they are over there.

My experiece wit hchips is limited ot diesel chips, and only a couple, but I was under the impression that chips for gas engine wont add more than 4 or 5 hp. Been wrong before!
