Should be green with yellow wheels. The fuel cap and radiator cap are cadmium plated{silver}, the muffler is silver, the seat frame and dash panel are gloss black, gen. green. more info at www.jd40.com

I have been trying to track down a 40U that I sold in NC in 1978. Mine had holes in the side of the hood where a toolbox was mounted. I do not at the moment know the serial number.
