Where Can I Find One?

I am trying to find the wooden protector that came with sickles years ago for mowers by protecting the sickle sections (and your fingers) during shipping and handling. A six foot piece would be just right for my use. Any ideas where to look? In baseball jargon, going to the local dealer is a strike out. Thanks in advance for any help.

Probably be about as easy to take two pieces of 1X4, a spacer and some deck screws. once built, then tape, wire, or in some way secore it. I would baling wire it in place.

I have seen a ridge cap from metal roofing used for this purpose. The one on 5 v crimp or the one from corrugated and just punch some holes and support it with a piece of wire. Good lucj.

Why not take a place of 4in. plastic drain tile and cut it so that it will fit over the sickle or cutter bar and tie it in place. Lite weight and will not rot. That what I did to protect the cutter bar on my mowing machine. If you just want to protect the sickle slide it into a solid plastic pipe and cap both ends. Armand
