Interesting tractor related

Interesting Video, Farmall was a big part of Rock Island IL and the Quad Cities. J.I Case was as well building tractors in Rock Island from the late 30s thru the early 60s. A good friend of mine works at Deere in Moline building combines, His dad, who is gone now, had retired out of that Farmall plant. There were a lot of Farmalls used around here years ago, they were great tractors. Thanks for posting.

Interesting video on Farmall history.

My dad and I worked at a nearby steel mill commonly referred to as "the plant".

Probably several of us can identify with the time when several family members worked at "the plant".

We can remember working at "the plant" during the summer when school was out; some making such a good wage that they never came back to school.

Men working for and retiring from the same department after 30-40 years.

Working at "the plant" provided a good living for our family and helped pay for most of my schooling.

Also got a life-long education working beside good men at "the plant".

Sad to say that like the Farmall factory, the steel mill "the plant" is now shut down.

WOW! That was great. Thanks for that link.It also called my attention to alot of other Farmall stuff I gotta watch on Youtube.Good stuff.

Used to haul new 66 then 86 series tractors out of there in the 70's+80's.I remember going down the main drag, then you would turn right at the "Farmall Tap" and proceed to the tractor loading docks that were along the river. After loading up it was a long, slow, one way drive around the circumference of the plant, and you could look in the big doors and see the assembly line.Shame it's all gone,oh for the good old days, plenty of work and good money.
