i dont think they are that rare. they made gas/lp and diesals. i think there are more gas than anything else but i wouldnt consider a diesal rare.

Rare to find one that runs. The 2010 & 1010 diesels were JD's attempt to build a Farmall.

Only rare part to them is parts as in it was made 1 or 2 years and parts are like hens teeth to find. If your looking to buy it RUN and RUN fast as you can away from it. If you own it Keep it under cover and the parts will sell for 3 times what the whole tractor will if you can find a buyer that is
