I've got a man that wants to sell me a rearend for a IH B with the short axle and I've no idea on what it's worth. Can you give some guide lines on this?

I don't understand.A short axle rear end for a B Farmall would yield a Farmall "A" correct? Is this an option item for a "B" or is some one trying to take advantage? An "A" has wide front and narrow rear on the left side and was labeled "Culti-vision" where as a "B"had narrow front two or one tire set up and wide rear axle on the left side.Basically the same tractor except for decals and these options.I once had a Farmall B and there is one just up the road from us ,for sale.It looks straight and runs good. There is a Farmall C in town that can be bought and a W4 International that can be had near here.An Farmall M is for sale about 35 miles away at Congress Az and a Case SC is for sale at the same Congress location. Lots of old Tractors around here and more and more of them are being offered for sale. The Economy?

If you want the parts to make the B original i have them. Lots were narrowed for mowers and i have done that also not hard to change. send e-mail

The BN had shorter on both sides with bosses for the different attachments where the diff housing for the A did not have them.

Gene your right. I walked down to the barn where I have a B and a BN. Never really payed attention but the BN does have two shorter axles. Learn something new every day. Thanks!
