Hi Guys
Arriving in New York on Monday 20th July then travelling to Cape Cod for a couple of days then on to Corning before visiting Nigara then into Canada and up as far as Tobermoray. Returing back to New York for around the 30th July taking in Williams Port on the way back. Are there any interesting tractor shows, tractor wrecker yards or collections we should visit on the way? Also looking for a Fordson e27n Perkins 6 cylinder diesel to buy.
Thanks
Bill

Have you lots of interesting tractor related stuff in Texas that I would like? We have never visited that part of the US before but could consider it for future.I guess it is very hot there during the summer months. Just found out my great grandfather was from the US so I am thinking about trying to find where and perhaps visit where he lived next vacation, dont uppose it was Texas though.

Greetings,
There is an old farmer/dealer in Nassau, New York by the name of Sid Chaven. He is located on the Massachusetts-New York border. If you are driving from Cape Cod to Niagra, you will be very close. He is/was an Oliver dealer and is salvaging a great many. He also has White and Cockshutt. He has an extensive personal collection as well. I went up to his place a couple of years ago to look at a tractor and wound up there for quite a few hours taking a guided tour of all his tractors. He is on Schoolhouse Road in Nassau, New York. His phone is 518-766-2436. I would advise calling first and you may want to take a can of bee spray because all the parts tractors are out in the tall grass and have little buggers nesting in them sometimes!
If you like the old tractors, you would enjoy stopping there I think!

We have fields full of tractors sitting all over the state. Up around Amarillo there is one big graveyard for tractors. But come in the fall or early spring. At this time 17:42 it is 105. Texas does get hot.

If you are going from NYC to Albany to Niagara, stop by Jim Macfadden's in Sharon Springs. He is about 45 miles west of Albany on US Route 20 and has 1000 or so salvage tractors. He's open 5 1/2 day/week

If you stay alittle longer in Canada you could come to a tractor pull and show that we have right at our house. It is on Aug. 1 and there is about 100 tractors here. We are located just about 2 hours east of Toronto.

Bill this has nothing to do with tractors but if you like glass or scoring points with the misses you may want to stop at Corning Glass in Corning they have a great glass display and museum go online and get a schedule so she can make a souvenoir to send back home and then on to Niagra Falls that is awesome that makes life much easier with the misses looking at hohum tractors for her. ;-> CT

This may sound strange but while in New York there is a Cemetery that has tours its where all of the rich folks from the area are buried. The tombstones and mausoleums are huge and beautiful things to see.
