Trojan 204 Loader engine question

Im working on a 204 gas loader with a bad engine (siezed up). Does anybody know what kind of engine they used, or what would fit in place of it? It is an inline six gas engine. Ive been told it might be a Waukesha but not positive. We'd like it for the snow season and don't care what we put in it as long as it runs.

It seems to have an SAE bellhousing on it. I thought of putting a multi-fuel engine from a duece into it if it would fit.

If anybody has any suggestions I would be happy to hear them.

Thanks.

Well, I only have three listings for Trojan in parts catalogs, and two of the three (Wix catalogs 2000 and 2006HD) only list diesels (DD3-71 and Herc GO339), but the third, a 2006 Fram catalog, also lists the IH U372 for the 204 (no years listed).
Clevite catalog says the U372 is the industrial version of the IH RD372 truck engine.
There"s also a 204A listed, with unidentified Cummins and DD4-71 engines; I have no idea what differences there might be between the 204 and 204A.
If nothing more definite turns up here you might try hcea.net. Good luck.

Forgot to mention: in my few listings don't see any Wauks, altho parts catalogs notoriously incomplete, and since it almost certainly has an SAE bellhousing almost anything might've been stuck in.
If not mentioned on ID tag, Trojan was trade name of Yale & Towne, now Yale, Inc., and if you have ser # of unit they may be able to ID original engine (Yale.com). Good luck.
