Snapper mower safty system.

I swear I won't call a lawyer if I get hurt doing what some one on here says, but I need to get around the safety system on a snapper commet. It's a fairly new 42" mower and it dies if the clutch is not all the way down. It won't even run with parking break on, the clutch has to be all the way down. I have checked wires and every thing seems to be fine. I am sure some one on here has un-OSHA'ed one of these before and was just wantder'n what would be the best way to do it.

Thanks.

Dave

You need to be careful when you disconnect these wires and hot wire it so it will work. Not because you might become disfigured or die, but because they usually have it set up so that if you tamper with it the battery will go dead. Also if you ever have to take it in for some type of repair they have to repair all of the saftey stuff and will charge you for it. They cannot release it to you without due to insurance

did you check to see that the reverse switch, and or the mower switch isn't out of adjustment. Most mowers nowadays will kill the engine if put into reverse with the mower blades engaged.

If you have or can get a wiring diagram, check all of the safety switches and connections. One or more has either broken or got out of adjustment.
