Hey folks,
Related to my hydraulic question earlier,

does any of your tractors use this type ov control for loaders, etc? Usually by Bosch type is SB1 (think the SB is for serial block because they can be added like pancakes.

on newer (IHC) models (early 70's?).

It will bolt up to mine without the adapter block I mentioned but does not have the extra return to the reservior.

Do you folks have these or are they only used over here?

Thanks, Dave

Dave,
The one thing that comes to mind here is closed center valve vs open center valve. Your tractor likely has an open center system and that return might be for the flow of oil that must be allowed. If it is a closed center valve it will not work with an open center system without what is usually some adapter plug or plate on one end of the valve stack. Kind of wordy but perhaps some help!

OK thanks.... I have that adapter now, just looks like he!!...... Since I installed it a few years ago I've gotten a little more creative, guess I'll get me some junk together and purty it up some. There is a joystick available that mounts directly to the tractor but only used. Finding one and rebuilding it (if necessary) is more expensive than the SB1 and is only 1 valve. I like the idea of being able to add on as the whim arises.

Thanks, Dave

You can look at your valve section and see if it is closed center or not. Also what model IH are you talking about?
