Power washer

I have a Honda 5.5 horse power power washer that starts then runs a short time then dies. I am sure it is getting gas.Any help would be great. Could this be a diode in the ignition.

Check and make sure on/off killswitch isn't defective. Very rarely do you see ignition problems. I'm quite POSITIVE one or more of the jets in the carburetor are plugged up.

It runs for a very short time and shuts down? I had two times that has happened and different reason.
First was a faulty low oil safety switch.
Second was a bad fuel pump.
Could be either one of the above.

Could simply be a plugged gas cap creating a vacuum lock after a few minutes of run time. Common problem.

The low oil sensor are a common problem with the Hondas Our fire dept. had one shut down because someone left the gas on and it diluted the oil. and then they plain go bad.

Change the spark plug first. My Honda generator would run about four minutes, then die. New plug fixed it.
