Anybody ever buy a bare cylinder sleeve without piston?

I'm tearing down a Case 530ck(?) with a 159 c.i.(gas)engine which had water run down the exhaust and freeze ruining the sleeve. When I pulled the pan everything looked nearly new. I pulled the rod and piston out of the bad cylinder and when I let a "tractor guy" look at it he said he'd get some new rings and wouldn't even change the rod bearings. Everywere I look for parts I see sleeve piston assemblies but never just sleeves.

I haven't, but I've seen them in the hands of a machine shop changing them to another application. Said they bought them from a place that sold only sleeves.

Just put new sleeves in my JD 2520 diesel a couple summers ago. I overhauled it when I bought it about a dozen years ago, and have meticulously checked and treated the coolant. It doesn't get worked hard nor an awful lot, so I didn't expect to have to do it again. Had the head checked- everything was fine. So I just put in new sleeves(they were badly corroded, leaking coolant into the oil) I don't know about just one.

You may try the dealer (will be expensive) or look at abilene machine, nnalert, or bates corporation (an IH dealer). Anyone aftermarket should be able to get you a sleeve.

I just completed a rebuild on a MF 65 diesel after about 10 hours of use it sucked a sleeve into the crank. I was able to buy one sleeve through this sight came from tisco, I called the 1-800 number and talked to the parts guys. I don't think the list some of the items as singles on the web page.
