Need a little help with adjustment of rocker arms/push rods....Ford 5000 diesel.....had the head shaved 10k.....The factory setting is 17 & 21k without the head being cut down....What is the setting now that the head has been shaved....????? I sure hope one of you folks out there has an answer for me....Thanks for your help...

Assuming you are refering to valve lash or the gap between the rocker and valve cap, the gap should be the same as perscribed in the manual. The reduction of .010" to flatten the head has no bearing on the valve lash except that it must be adjusted to spec. This is true after a valve job and any other reason for which the head is removed especially when the new head gasket is installed.

Very simple, no difference. Same old setting. The geometry change is not going to make a difference in the valve adjustment setting at all. That is based on the cam profile and leading and exit ramp design. It will be tighter at the adjustment when you put it together, but just put them back to spec. JimN

The same. Keep in mind that those specs are on the SLACK side of the COLD setting. If you're setting them hot, go at 15 and 18.
