david brown 3 point hitch

I have an 880a selectomatic david brown and I can't get the 3 point hitch to lower.I had the tractor on blocks for several weeks and one day I changed a lever position and the bars dropped, as soon as I started the tractor up, the bars came up and now I can't get them down.

I have a 995 David Brown so I don't know if they are the same, but there is a 3 point lock knob on on the left behind you as you sit on the seat. Turning the knob so that the lever is pointed up unlocks it, down it latches when it is raised up. Sometimes it helps to raise the 3point all the way when turning the knob. Let me know if this works. hi mark maybe the 3 way valve lever in front of the lift cyl got moved out of lift position. tom
