Some photos of the haying fleet

Just got some photos of my very diverse fleet of haying equipment thought I would share. Also took one of a sign near my house that always cracks me up, didn't know we had a lot of handicapped deer in the area , but I guess its like the slow children sign, it's all in how you read it:>)

nice looking stuff. The oliver especially. Im not a big kubota fan but i like all the rest of the tractors and equipment. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pics ! Thanks !!

How soon do you need help ? I'll take the Deere, although the Oliver is my next choice. ,<]:>)}

Is that an JD 894 rake? I sure don't care for the hitch stand on the front of mine. It came down on me and wadded up about 100' of windrow under the tractor.

Nice looking equipment; especially the Deere.

Let me know when the 720 diesel comes up for sale.

Always enjoy your photos; thanks for sharing them with us.

OT: How's the bottle-fed calf coming along?

Calf is fat and happy. I need to do a little work on the JD, engine oil getting into the trans, but everything is for sale if the price is right.

I've always been one to mix & match. If it works, that's all that counts. Nice looking stuff, too.

I agree with James, if you decide to part with the JD diesel, let us know.

Nice looking fleet! And by "fleet" I mean that big ol Oliver :wink: . Been searching for one of the larger Cockshutt/Olivers for some time, never seem to be able to find one in decent condition for a reasonable price :cry:

I may be parting with mine (1750 diesel, newer engine), if I can find what I want in the red color for the right price. Send me an email and I will keep you in mind when I decide.

I can't stand the 894s. Too much of a perpendicular angle to the hay, rolls the hay up into a knot. I found a few 1890s international windrowers which have been flawless in their operation, leaving hay loose instead of twisted like my junkpile 894.

I changed the drive sprocket and slowed it way down, works great, no twisting at all, also adjusted the angle all the way up. Twists less than the New Holland.

Thanks for the thought, but MN is too far for me to even consider. Shipping costs would add up in a hurry.

I don't seem to have that problem. Unless I am at a crawl. I rake as fast as I can stay in the seat. Hay comes off the rake one time and rolls over into the windrow. If I go to slow (like turning around on the ends) it will rope right up. I make pretty quick turns.

I am new to hay making. Did it as a kid but dad always fixed the equipment. I am tired of paying thousands to have hay cut on someone else's schedule - so I am now officially a farmer. I got a New Holland 472 haybine today. Any words of wisdom for me?
