Anybody lease land for highway signs or antenna towers? What of prices, haven't found any in courthouse records?

I've handled several cell tower leases- "use-to-be" standard rent was about $700 per month, but the companies are trying to squeeze people a little more now, so probably $550-$600 now.

Local minister and his dad bought the highest peak in western part of the county for a pittance years ago- 360 acres- "too steep to do anything with". They got all the early tower leases- 7 in all, I think, at $700 per. Also, seems that the fir trees didn't mind the terrain, so they logged about $3 million in timber off it a few years ago.

As dad used to say, "Nice work, if you can find it."
