O/T Another Celebrity bites the dust

Gale Storm. Didn't see anything on the news about her. Surely some of you remember her--those 65 and older? Get into yer 80's and few care any more, I guess.

There was brief mention of it on the news last evening. I remember the name, and I'm sure I must have watched her on TV when I was a kid, but I don't remember much else.

and i just heard this morning on cnn that billy mays also died. he was the black haired guy with a beard that did the oxy-clean and other tv ads.

The show was "My Little Margie." Remember "Our Miss Brooks?" I can see the woman's face but can't remember her name.

Another side of a greater generation

Gale Storm also appeared in some early black and white westerns. Sky King,Roy Rogers, and Gene Autry to name a few. I was in love with her. rw

It's been quite a while since I've heard about <a href="http://www.americanflyers.net/entertainment/skyking.asp">Sky King</a>.

Sure did like that show every Saturday morning as a kid.

Also ate a lot of Nabisco Shredded Wheat.

Outta the clear blue of the western sky comes...... Sky King and his trusty sidekick, Penny.
The name of his plane was........
The Songbird........over.....

I remember The Gale Storm Show from years ago..I'm a western fan myself...Paladin, The Rebel, Roy Rogers, Wagon Train, Sky King [with his rifle in a scabbard attached to the inside of the drivers door of the station wagon], Walter Brennan , "Duke" Wayne ,And later on Chuck Connors [ Rifleman]..Ahh Yes...Brings back many good memories....

That was Eve Arden. She also played the principal in the movie "Grease." Remember one of her students, Walter Denton? Played by none other than Richard Crenna, who went on to "make Kate Mrs. Luke McCoy?"
