What is the chance

Son mowed and conditioned Alfalfa about eight last evening. Tempeture in 100's. Fifty percent rain forcast for Saturday. It was not forcast when he started. The queston: Will this be ready to bale Satrday before it rains? Forcast is for 100+ Saturday before it rains.Should he lay down some more tonight. Got to get it off so irrigation can move to that part of field. Yes it sound crazy to worry about irrigation when they forcast rain. When you are on a 21 day cutting schedule all the rain does is mess you up. Will not get enough rain to do any good just enough to mess up the hay.

I have seen conditioned alfalfa that was ready to bale after about 24 hours, but the humidity was very, very low at the time, so it dried faster than usual. Unconditioned, I would say no way. Conditioned, maybe, you just have to check it to see. Good luck!
