White oil pressure problem

Started baling hay yesterday with White 2-105 tractor. Noticed oil pressure dropping. By the time I got back to the barn it had dropped to 5 psi. Although I can"t detect diesel on the dipstick, the oil seems a little thin. Since it was a gradual drop, doesn"t anyone think that this could be my problem? I changed out the mechanical gauge and still have the same problem. Got to thinking while at work today that maybe the fuel pump is leaking into the crankcase. Oil level seemed higher than normal on dipstick but thought it was because of where it was parked a little on a slant.

Yes that could be your problem. Often when the fuel pump goes it will fill the whole crankcase and keep filling it after shutdown unless you turn off the fuel at the tank. The injector pump can allso leak. Take the 2 bolts loose that hold the pump and pull it out a little and pump the handle with the lines still attached.

Turns out it does appear to be the fuel pump. Drained the crankcase tonight. It is suppossed to hold 15 quarts and we drained 22 quarts of fluid. Yesterday when I checked the oil it was sitting on a slant and I couldn't tell what the oil level was on the dipstick. Will pick up the new pump and install tomorrow morning. Thanks for your advice.
