OT Farrah Fawcett will be missed.

I just asked my wife "In your mind, who makes you feel better, Farrah or Michael Jackson" and she immediately said "Farrah". But every news channel is talking about Jackson. One channel briefly mentioned Farrah, and then they went back to the news about Jackson.

Farrah was a clean entertainer with a little (the filter threw it out) appeal thrown in. Jackson was, well..............

Farrah was only on Charlies Angels for one year. Then had a few made for TV movies.Jackson has the second most selling album of all time and alot more weirdness to talk about. Its just what people want to hear .One channel had a special on both of them tonight. Most time was spent on Jackson. His career had more history good and bad to talk about is all Im saying.

I didn't care about the content of Charlie's Angels - but certainly liked some of them (as far as looking at them goes). I did get sick of the "Farrah" hairdo, after awhile that was the rage.

Farrah was cute enough, but my #1 choice for beauty and class was (and perhaps still is) - #1 Jaclyn Smith, and #2 Kate Jackson. At least they didn't to parading around nude, selling their image in that way - like Farrah did.

Don't get me wrong. I've got no problem will anybody making money that way - and don't mind seeing them that way, either. Fun to look at, but not somebody I'd actually want to spend time with. But, I feel bad for her, just the same.

My secretary and I are always kidding each other about the "generation gap" (she's 24, I'm 60). She asked me yesterday if I had "the poster" back in the day. I told her that since I was already married when it came out, it would have been. . .awkward.

Loved the scene in "Shawshank Redemption" when Tim Robbins had escaped- warden threw one of his figurines at "the poster" in disgust, and it rattled down the tunnel the poster was hiding.

Farrah was a fairly ordinary talent, with extraordinary looks, but handled it better than many of her contemporaries.

Who?
I think I’ve heard of her but I got no idea who she is. I guess she must have been before my time.

Jackson on the other hand, I’ve heard of him and can easily identify him as a freak.
It’s sad when anyone dies but I hate the celebrity thing, I bet there were other good hard working Americans that died yesterday, maybe even a veteran or farmer. If we aint going to have TV specials about them then why on earth would we care about “celebrities” that have done very little and lived very easy.
